Interim Service

​

We recommend an interim vehicle service should be carried out every 12 months or 10,000 miles, however we advise oil changes every 6000 miles if you mainly drive intercity. it helps to keep your car safe and roadworthy in-between full services.


What is included in an interim vehicle service?

  • Check for damage to trims, number plates, bodywork and mirrors

  • Condition of tyres

  • Drums and discs checked

  • Engine oil replaced

  • Exhaust system security and condition

  • Interior and exterior lights and switches

  • Oil filter replaced

  • PAS, auxiliary and fan belts checked

  • Security of fuel lines, brake pipes, hoses and handbrake cables checked

  • Security of windscreen and rear view mirror

  • Top up power steering reservoir

  • Under bonnet fluid levels checked and topped up

  • Road test carried out

  • Service light re-set

  • Service book stamped

Full Service

​

We recommend a full service should be carried out every 20,000 miles or 24 months as it helps to keep your car maintained. A trained technician will be able to spot damage early on and prevent expensive costs if something were to go wrong with your car.


A full service includes the full interim service list, plus

  • Air filter replaced

  • All wheel bearings checked

  • Checks for engine and gearbox mounts

  • Condition of distributor cap checked

  • Condition of HT leads checked

  • Coolant system checked

  • Door hinges, catches and locks checked

  • Engine cooling fan checked

  • Operation of throttle checked

  • Spark plugs replaced

  • Starter motor checked

  • Visual inspections of radiator and coolant pipes/hoses for leaks

  • Wheels removed and condition/operation of front/rear brakes checked

  • Wheels refitted

  • Final checks
